Felt's stunning Edict 1 is a singletrack-devouring, climb-conquering XC missile with you as the propulsion. Felt's spectacular UHC carbon frame begins at the stiff, tapered head tube and ends with their jolt-reducing, ultralight carbon FAST rear suspension. Up front, a RockShox SID fork tames rough trail and corners with precision to propel you up, over, and around the most technical courses. And, DT Swiss' race-worthy, 29-inch wheels with Schwalbe tires carry your power via the SRAM X01 1x11-speed drivetrain. When you need to scrub some speed, SRAM's benchmark X0 brakes modulate your velocity. Felt's carbon bar and seatpost add even more lightweight performance to this fast machine.

Felt FAST Rear Suspension
Felt’s Active Stay Technology (FAST) rear suspension utilizes carbon stays that flex evenly throughout the travel to create a secondary spring assist to the rear suspension. Ingeniously, this mimics the action of much more common 4-bar linkage systems without the extra weight and complexity. It also eliminates one pivot and acts to hold the suspension at the optimal ride/race geometry. Plus there’s no need for a mechanical lockout or an overly damped shock that requires extra force to be “opened.”
The result is a lighter, smoother and faster suspension. It soaks up the terrain, keeps your tires grounded for better traction and handling, and boosts your confidence and control while also reducing fatigue over the long haul.

Felt's DMC (Dynamic Monocoque Construction) method is a highly advanced carbon manufacturing process that allows Felt to mold individual sections of a frame (see image above) prior to assembly. This allows each frame section to be completely optimized for its individual requirements before being fused together as whole frame. The result is a frame with completely integrated joints that offer superior strength, durability and a refined appearance.
